We manufacture electronic sirens across a wide power range — from compact near-field units to high-power horn speakers for large-area warning. The right model depends on your coverage distance, ambient noise level, and mounting location.

When to choose an electronic siren

Electronic sirens suit applications where coverage is below 300–500 metres, ambient noise is moderate, and tone flexibility is needed. For coverage above 500 metres in high-noise industrial environments, a motor siren is the correct specification. Compare motor vs electronic →

Shift Change Tone

For shift change and break signals, a steady continuous tone is used — not wailing. Wailing (rising-falling) tone is reserved for emergency and fire drill only. Our automatic siren controllers are pre-configured for this convention.

What is the difference between an electronic siren and a motor siren?

An electronic siren generates sound via a PCB circuit and horn speaker — compact, low maintenance, suitable for 50–500m coverage. A motor siren uses a rotating impeller driven by a small motor — larger, higher output, suitable for 500m–16km coverage in high-noise environments. For OISD-117 and ERDMP compliance requiring plant-wide alerting, motor sirens are specified. Electronic sirens are suitable for localised zone alerting, control rooms, and process areas.

Can the tone be changed in the field?

Yes — MT-PSH models allow tone selection via physical input contacts or a front-panel switch. MT-AVA models support 128+ tone codes selectable via DIP switch or contact input from PLC. For scheduled tones (shift change, fire drill), the Automatic Factory Siren Controller handles tone assignment automatically.
