The Real Problem

Most Factory Warning Systems Fail When It Matters Most

A siren that works 99% of the time isn't good enough — the 1% failure is always an emergency.

Coverage Blind Spots

Sirens are placed by habit, not engineering. The siren simply isn't audible in high-noise areas, closed office rooms, or on the shop floor near compressors and heavy machinery — until an emergency proves it.

Manual Shift Change — Costly Delays

Even a single minute's delay in manually ringing the siren means every worker on the floor loses a minute of production — multiply that by your headcount, every single shift. Automation eliminates the delay entirely.

OISD / ERDMP Non-Compliance

Oil and gas facilities under OISD-117 and ERDMP mandate dedicated emergency warning systems with specific tone codes, zones, and control panel requirements. Many installations fail inspection.

Our Approach

We Design the System First. Then Recommend the Products.

Most siren suppliers send you a price list. We send you a system design — zone map, siren placement, coverage calculation, tone schedule, and compliance checklist.

01

Site Noise Survey & Zone Mapping

We calculate ambient noise levels and design coverage zones to ensure every worker hears the alarm, every time.

02

Siren Selection by Application

Motor siren or electronic? Loud or voice-based? Flameproof or standard? We match the technology to the requirement.

03

Control Panel & Automation Design

Automatic shift-change scheduling, emergency override, remote activation, event logging — all in one panel.

04

Compliance Documentation

OISD, ERDMP, IS 6026 — system design documentation that satisfies statutory audits and safety inspections.

Engineering Insight

How to Calculate Siren Coverage for a Factory

The required sound pressure level at the farthest point must exceed ambient noise by at least 10 dB. In a steel plant with 95 dB ambient, your siren must deliver 105+ dB at the boundary. For a 500m radius, this typically requires a 2 km motor siren — not a 0.5 km electronic unit.

  • Measure ambient noise at all critical points during peak production
  • Add 10 dB safety margin above highest ambient reading
  • Account for wind direction — coverage reduces 25–40% downwind
  • Place sirens at height: minimum 6m above surrounding structures
  • Never rely on a single siren for any area exceeding 0.5 km radius
  • Test coverage with a calibrated sound meter after installation

FAQ

Questions Engineers Ask Us

Real questions from HSE managers, plant engineers, and project consultants — answered without sales language.

Ask Your Question
Motor sirens use a rotating impeller driven by an electric motor — they produce a pure mechanical wail that penetrates ambient noise effectively at long distances (500m–16km). Electronic sirens are compact, multi-tone, and more suited for indoor or near-field applications (up to 200–300m). For most factories, a motor siren at the perimeter and electronic units inside buildings gives the best system design.
This depends on your factory footprint, ambient noise level, and building layout. A rough starting point: one 1 km motor siren covers approximately a 300–500m radius depending on ambient conditions. Divide your factory into acoustic zones, measure peak ambient noise in each zone, and ensure siren output exceeds ambient by at least 10 dB. Talk to an application engineer for a site-specific design.
OISD-117 and ERDMP mandate that oil and gas facilities must have a dedicated emergency siren system with distinct tone codes for different emergency levels, manual override capability, backup power, audibility across the facility perimeter, and an annual test protocol. We supply ERDMP-ready siren control panels with all required documentation.
An automatic siren controller triggers any existing siren — motor or electronic — via a relay output as per a programmed schedule. It is ideal for high-noise factory environments. A voice announcement system outputs pre-recorded speech through a PA system (amplifiers and speakers) and is suited for quieter environments like IT parks, hospitals, and food processing plants where a human voice message is more appropriate than a siren tone.
Yes. Our Advanced Siren Control Panel supports multi-zone control — independently or simultaneously controlling sirens across multiple buildings from a single panel. For distributed campuses, our Unified Siren Control System can control sirens at physically separate locations from a single dashboard over a network connection.
